At MESH, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver complex healthcare projects within tight timeframes. Each year, we are typically commissioned to manage around 10 projects for the NHS, helping them to maximise their budget expenditure by the end of the financial year.
Our approach involves detailed cost forecasting, regular budget reviews, and close collaboration with our clients and design teams. This method has allowed us to successfully manage expenditures across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to strict financial constraints.
We understand the pressures of meeting tight deadlines and maximising end-of-year expenditures. If you have a project that requires expert support, reach out to our sector leads:
KEY PROJECTS& ACHIEVEMENTS:
Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital
Successfully delivered seven fast-track projects within a seven-month period, with the aim of using end-of-year expenditure. These projects included the relocation of an MRI unit, various refurbishment works, enabling works for a 24-bed ward, and the establishment of a new Cath Lab—all while the hospital remained fully operational.
Modular Theatre, University Hospital Dorset NHS Foundation Trust
Facilitated the rapid delivery and integration of a modular theatre and associated recovery unit. The project involved relocating existing services and modifying an adjoining theatre to create a seamless link. Despite the tight procurement timeline, the project was completed without disrupting hospital operations.
40 Bank Street, HCA Healthcare
Supported HCA Healthcare with their newly opened State-of-the-art outpatient centre, maintaining a fast-track project, in a multi-tenanted central London location. The centre includes two MRIs (1.5T and 3T), X-ray, Mammography, Ultrasound, Treatment rooms, and additional Consulting rooms.
Modular Build, Stoke Mandeville Hospital
Two-storey modular building housing a new Paediatrics Department and Obstetrics & Gynaecology unit, utilising Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). The key challenge on this project was cashflow and an extremely fast paced front-end programme in order to meet spending requirements. Within 2 months of when
MESH were first engaged on the project, we had collaborated with the design and procurement teams to successfully issue a tender to the market.
