On Friday 23rd June, some of our team travelled to the Heron Country Club in South Essex to participate in the Longest Day Golf Challenge, in support of Macmillan Cancer Trust.
Across 14 hours, they endured four rounds of golf, 72 holes, and over 20 miles of walking.
And for all their efforts, they raised an impressive £2144. According to the Trust, our donation could:
- Fund 54 Macmillan nursing hours helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical, and emotional support.
- Help Macmillan’s cancer information and support the team on the Macmillan Support Line answer 106 calls or web enquiries from people who want questions answered, need practical or financial support, or who just want to chat.
- Provide 5 people living with cancer a Macmillan Grant. These can help cover some of the costs cancer brings, for example, travel to and from hospitals.
A huge well done to all of our charity golfers, especially Trainee Cost Consultant, Daniel Parker, who organised the day.
