We are delighted to announce the completion of an 1870’s historic bank building in Holborn that has been converted to create 23,000sqft Cat A and Cat B modern open plan offices across six floors, at One Ely Place.
Works include the conversion of a former NatWest banking hall including installation of a new steel frame mezzanine level with helical stair. The basement, which previously housed bank vaults, has been completely refurbished to provide new WCs, a shower, and bike storage.
‘MESH was a great addition to the project. They acted as both Cost Consultant and Employer’s Agent for us. The project had several challenges including a detailed option analysis and feasibility review, commencing the works in the heart of the first Coronavirus lockdown, increasing the refurbishment scope late in the project to include a further floor that became available. MESH managed to navigate its way through this with ease, offering clear and timely advice throughout. Special thanks to Zoe Curnow for helping create a truly great office scheme and a very successful project.’
